In 2007, Colormake was founded in the state of Pennsylvania. At the heart of the organization was its artists and activists who came from all over the east coast and midwest.

Colormake began organizing music & gallery shows, skate & bike jams, work shops, festivals, political demonstrations, and other events. The same community-based philosophy employed at those gatherings was also realized in records, media projects, and Colormake’s first studio space and shop.

In its four year history, Colormake has had the privilege to work with some of this generation’s brightest minds in art, music, and social justice. That initial mix of punk, political activism, skateboarding, hip-hop, visual art, and so on came to represent a diversity of thought and expression which remains true of this community today.
